I had lived in my house for 40 years and was in the process of putting it on the market to sell. Before the realtor photographer came in to take pictures pre-listing, I wanted the house to look appealing. Kristen came and together we walked through the house, top to bottom. She gave me so many good points on how to display each room. I had already emptied a lot of furniture out, repainted the rooms and had cleared the walls of personal clutter. Kristen has such a good eye for placement of key items to accent a room, or even an entryway. I appreciate her insight. The photographer took very good interior pictures. After a few conversations and an inspection of the room she connected my love of ancient history, pottery and wine with the room's lack of character. She tactfully suggested immediate improvements based mostly on items I already possessed; rearrangements, splashes of color, lighting improvements and the staging (I prefer the term framing) of my most cherished items. The end result is a warmer more coherent and comfortable space for a remarkably small expenditure. “I was very unhappy with my kitchen, but not ready at this time to commit to a complete renovation. My kitchen was dark and felt cramped, and was not welcoming for friends. Kristen came in and redesigned the flow, by moving my refrigerator, baker’s pantry, and kitchen island into new positions. She created a coffee and tea station using the kitchen island, which is adorable. I was amazed. Not only did the new arrangement let in more light, the whole space looked more open and inviting. Functionally it flowed much better and it is easier to prepare meals. I love my ‘new’ kitchen!” - Terry
