Hi, I’m Kristen, the owner and decorator of Wells by Design.

I started my career in fashion merchandising; creating floor plans, designing window displays, managing staff, and traveling to set up departments for large retail chains including Dick’s Sporting Goods and Gap.

Fast forward to being a mom of two, I decided to take a step away from retail and partner with my sister to open ‘LaTazza’, a coffee house. The vision was to take an empty building with no function and turn it into an inspired space, creating a full experience for our customers. Not just selling coffee but offering the community a place to enjoy company; to be a hub for local musicians, artists, and creatives alike. This is where I realized my true passion for decorating and design.

For the last decade, I have been at Refabulous Furnishings; an upscale, full-service consignment shop with hidden gems around every corner. Here I have been developing my skill of bringing together the old with the new. Working with just about every look, era, and home décor piece you could imagine, reinventing the floor plan daily to create displays and staging the store for social media and marketing.

With the birth of my grandson Wells, I have found a new sense of inspiration - to connect with individuals in creating an inviting and inspirational home one space at a time. Whether you rent or own, together we can create the look you are longing for.
